CLEANING
Before any cleaning action, stop the machine and unplug it as described in the Point 6.2.
6.1.- CLEANING BEFORE THE FIRST USE
•
Clean the Hand Blender attachment and the whisks of the Whisk attachment in hot water and a detergent
compatible with this type of material.
•
Rinse and dry them carefully.
6.2.- CLEANING IN BETWEEN USE
•
Operate the machine in a hot and clean water container for some seconds in order to remove residues from the
blade, the blade guard and the tube, or from the whisks, depending on the attachment. Next, dry the blade guard
and the tube, or the whisks with a suitable cloth.
6.3.- CLEANING AFTER USE
•
Operate the machine in a hot and clean water container for some seconds in order to remove residues from the
blade, the blade guard and the tube, or the whisks, depending on the attachment
•
Remove the attachment from the motor unit (See Point 5.1).
•
Dismount the attachments as suggested in the Point 5.2. If the machine has been used in a hot preparation, leave
the attachment cool off before removing it.
•
The tube, the blade guard and the blade of the Hand Blender attachment, as well as the whisks of the Whisk
attachment must be washed in a plenty of clean water and a detergent compatible with this type of material.
Before drying, rinse with plenty of clean water. Dishwasher is also allowed.
•
To clean the transmission shaft of the Hand Blender attachment, the bearing bush and the reduction unit of the
Whisk attachment, use a brush.
•
Disinfect all the parts in constant contact with the food with the help of a smooth cloth impregnated with ethyl
alcohol 90º.
•
To clean the motor unit, use a damp cloth or a sponge and dry it next.
WARNING!: Do not immerse the motor unit under running water or immerse it in water or any other liquids to
avoid electrical shocks.
7.- MAINTENANCE
Before any maintenance, stop the machine and unplug it as described in the Point 6.2.
•
The result of the mixture made with the hand blender attachment will depend basically in the condition of the
blade. It gets damaged with the use and it will have to be replaced periodically to obtain the best quality of the
mixture.
•
Check the two joints, the oil seal and the bushing of the lower bearing bush regularly. Replace them if necessary,
in order to maintain the parts in a perfect condition.
•
Check periodically that the air grills are not closed up.
•
Never use the machine if the power cord is damaged. An Authorised After Sales Agent should only replace it.
8.- FAULT FINDING
8.1.- THE MACHINE DOES NOT START UP
Check the following points:
•
The safety/stop button is in the safety position (I) when connecting the machine. In this case, turn the button to
stop (O), then turn it to safety (I) and press the command button.
•
The machine is not properly plugged. Check if the plug (general switch) has been wrongly connected to the outlet.
•
There has been a cut of the power supply.
8.2.- THE MACHINE STOPS
Check the following points:
•
There has been a cut. Press stop (O), disengage the attachment from the motor unit and unplug the machine.
Wait till the main supply comes back and restart the machine up following the instructions given at Point 6.1.
•
The motor is overheated. Press stop (O), disengage the attachment from the motor unit unplug the machine and
wait some minutes so that the motor can cool off. After a cooling off period, restart the work as described in Point
6.1.
8.3.- ABNORMAL NOISE-VIBRATIONS
Check the following points:
•
Water has entered into the attachment. Dismount the parts of the attachments following Point 5.2 and dry them
next.
•
The sealing parts (the joints and/or the oil seals) to avoid leaks are damaged. If so, replace them.
•
The transmission parts (the shafts, the bushings and the ball bearings) are damaged. If so, replace them.
