Refilling operating materials
Maintenance, Repairs and Shut-Down
8.2.1 Refilling diesel
• The machine is switched off and secured against accidental switch-on, see the chapter
"Operation" > "Switching off machine" (page 72).
• The machine has cooled down sufficiently so that no spilled operating materials can
ignite.
• Diesel
• Suitable funnel
• Cloths
WARNING
Danger of fire caused by the operating material on the engine igniting!
Operators and other persons can incur burns on their body. In addition, the machine will be
damaged by fire!
Only refuel the machine when it is cooled down.
Always use a suitable filler neck (e.g. a funnel) for refuelling.
Immediately catch operating materials which have been spilled.
WARNING
Danger to health caused by operating materials!
Some of the operating materials used are hazardous. In case of frequent contact with the
skin, there is a danger of developing cancer.
Avoid prolonged skin contact with the operating materials.
Always wear protective gloves during work.
ATTENTION
Environmental hazard caused by operating materials!
The operating materials used in the machine are hazardous to the environment!
Dispose of the operating materials used in accordance with the locally applicable legal
regulations.
Catch the escaping operating materials with suitable containers.
Prevent operating materials from getting into the soil.
