6 - MAINTENANCE

Travel reduction unit oil

To replace the travel reduction gears oil proceed as
follows:

Park the machine on flat, horizontal ground.

Move the machine so that plug

(1)

is in the

lowest possible position.

Stop the engine and remove the ignition key.

Place a receptacle with suitable capacity un-
derneath the travel reduction gear.

Slowly loosen the plug

(3)

to release any resid-

ual pressure.

Remove all the plugs. Remove the plugs seals
as necessary.

Let the oil drain.

Install the plug

(1)

, then fill with oil through the

port

(3)

until the oil comes up to the bottom

edge of the port

(2)

. Next, install the plugs

(2)

and

(3)

Repeat the same operations for the other travel
reduction gear.

10.

Travel slowly with the machine and make sure
there are no leaks.

NOTICE:

check the condition of the drained oil. If the oil

contains metal fillings or foreign matter, consult your CASE
CONSTRUCTION dealer.
