6 - MAINTENANCE
Every 250 hours
Engine primary air filter
NOTICE: clean and inspect the engine primary air filter every 250 hours or when the "AIR FILTER" message is dis-
played on the message display screen.
NOTICE: replace the engine primary air filter every 1000 hours or after cleaning 6 times.
To clean and inspect the engine primary air filter, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. Release the fasteners and remove the cover.

2. Remove the engine primary air filter.

CAUTION
Flying debris!
Compressed air can propel dirt, rust, etc.
into the air. Wear eye and face protection
when using compressed air.
Failure to comply could result in minor or
moderate injury.

If the primary air filter element is dry:
•
Blow compressed air from the inside towards
the outside at very low pressure. The com-
pressed air nozzle should be held at least
3
cm ( 1.2 in ) rom the inside wall of the element.
Cleaning is completed once no more dust
comes out of the primary element.
NOTICE: compressed air pressure should not exceed 7
bar ( 101.5 psi ).
NOTE: do not use compressed air if there is oil or soot in
the element.
