6.6 Mounting of the steam distribution pipe
Piping between the humidifier and the steam distributor
must be installed so as to avoid accumulation of
condensation with the ensuing gurgling in the piping
and efficiency loss.
Piping must exploit the gravitational force in order to drain
the recondensed steam towards the boiler or distributor.
It is recommended to:
• avoid sharp bends to prevent possible folds and
narrowings;
• if the distributor is placed at a more elevated level compared
to the humidifier, maintain a uniform minimum gradient
(20%) towards the humidifier so as to bring back the
condensed steam towards the boiler;
• if the difference between the two heights is not sufficient
to that aim, or if the distributor is lower than the link with
the boiler, take the piping slightly upwards and then
downwards to the distributor, with a uniform gradient
equal to or grater than 5%;
• avoid creating accumulation points for condensation
between the steam boiler and the distributor;
• avoid stretches of piping with gradients lower than those
indicated above;
• shape the condensation drain pipe into a siphon to
prevent back condensation;
• the condensation pipe, with one end connected to the
steam distributor, must carry the condensed steam back
to the bottom tank if the botton tank is lower than the
distributor or the sewage system.
It is recommended to use the special Carel pipes for
steam distribution and condensation.
6.6 Montaggio del tubo di convogliamento vapore
La connessione tra umidificatore e distributore deve essere
realizzata in modo tale da evitare accumuli di condensa
con conseguente rumorosità (sotto forma di gorgoglii) e
perdite di efficienza. Il percorso della tubazione deve
sfruttare la gravità per drenare il vapore ricondensato
verso il boiler o verso il distributore.
Si consiglia di attenersi alle seguenti regole:
• evitare curve troppo strette del tubo per non causare
pieghe o strozzature;
• se il distributore si trova ad un livello superiore a quello
dell’umidificatore, mantenere una pendenza uniforme
minima del 20% verso l’umidificatore per ricondurre il
vapore ricondensato verso il boiler;
• se la differenza tra le quote non è sufficiente per realizzare
quanto sopra, oppure se il distributore si trova più in
basso del raccordo del cilindro vapore, salire con il tubo
ad un livello sufficiente per poi scendere verso il distributore
con la pendenza uniforme superiore o almeno pari al 5%;
• evitare di creare sacche di accumulo della condensa tra
il cilindro vapore ed il distributore;
• evitare tratti di tubazione con pendenza inferiori a quelle
indicate;
• conformare il tubo di drenaggio condensa in modo da
creare un sifone ad evitare ritorni di condensa;
• il tubo della condensa, con una estremità allacciata al
distributore di vapore, deve condurre il condensato alla
vaschetta di fondo, quando questa si trovi più in basso
del distributore o del sistema fognario.
Per le tubazioni di convogliamento vapore e condensa, si
raccomanda l’uso dei tubi speciali che Carel mette a
disposizione.
