Routine Maintenance

When to Replace a BJ Cartridge

If your printout appears streaked or blurred, open the front cover of the printer and visually 
check the level of the ink in all the BJ tanks. If the remaining ink is low or has run out, 
replace the necessary BJ tank(s).

 

Replacing a BJ Tank

If a BJ tank runs out of ink, the POWER light will flash orange four times 
and the BJ Status Monitor for Windows starts up to display a message to 
warn you that a BJ tank has run out of ink.

If, after you replace the BJ tank(s), the print quality is still poor, follow the 
procedure outlined in the flow chart on the next page.
