Framing Ass i s tance
S ometime s , while z ooming in on a very far s ubject (large z oom ratio),
you might momentarily “lo s e” the s ubject a s it move s out of the frame.
In thi s ca s e, you can u s e the framing a ss i s tance function to temporarily
z oom out a little and ma k e it ea s ier to find the s ubject.

Pre ss and hold [ ] to zoom out momentarily.
• The original z oom po s ition i s indicated by a white frame.

Reframe the s hot s o the de s ired s ubject i s within the white
frame.
• You can u s e the z oom lever to change the s i z e of the frame.

When the de s ired s ubject i s correctly framed, relea s e [ ].
• The camcorder will z oom in on the area indicated by the white
frame.
