The printer is shipped from the factory with the “Media Size” set for “B5-JIS” and 
the “Media Type” set for “Plain Paper”.

z

While printing with one of the settings described above, if the ink blurs or if 
printing is too light, select Special 1 to 5 for the “Media Type”. These settings 
adjust the ink density in five steps, starting with the lowest density (1) to the 
highest density (5). The setting may require testing and adjustment, depending on 
the media in use and the content of the image.

z

“Proof C” and “Proof D” are displayed as media type items on the operation panel, 
but these items are not currently available for selection. These are preliminary 
settings for selection to be added in the future.

z

To achieve better quality printing, perform the “Paper Adjust” setting on the 
operation panel.(
