Data Conversion
To improve the reproducibility of original
documents and modify the acquired image as
required by the user, it is possible to convert the
original image data using conversion tables. This
machine provides various conversion tables
adjusted for image mode and setting value.
However, there are several adjustment items not
available for image mode and other conditions.
For details, refer to the driver software
“
Help
”
function.
The conversion tables below are for
fundamental items and may be different from
actual items.
1) Brightness
adjustment
This adjusts the overall brightness of the
scanned image. The image brightness increases
as the setting value becomes larger,
and
decreases as the value becomes smaller. For
automatic brightness adjustment in Black &
White mode, refer to the “Binarizing" section.

2) Contrast
adjustment
This adjusts the contrast of the scanned
image. The image contrast increases as the
setting value becomes larger, and decreases as
the value becomes smaller.
