SETTING UP

Removing the shipping materials ______________

Remove the shipping materials as shown below.

Remove the protective piece from the
multi-purpose tray.

Remove the shipping tapes from the top
of the fax.

Open the document tray

, then open the

operation panel partially by gently
pulling it towards you (it only opens
slightly)

Remove the protective sheet from the
Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
Close the operation panel by pressing it
down from the centre until it locks into
place.

Open the printer cover using the printer
cover tab. (see p. 2-2)

Remove the shipping tape from the side
of the fax.
Close the printer cover and document
tray.
