Controlling the Lock Motor (M4)
0003-6080
The following is a diagram of the circuit used to control the lock motor, and the circuit has
the following function:
- turning on/off the motor
- controlling the speed of motor rotation
F-2-30
IC9 on the ADF driver PCB receives data (command) from the host machine on printing
mode (magnification, operation mode, timing); in response, it generates drive pulses to
drive the lock motor.
The lock motor (M4) is a stepping motor, and the direction and speed of its rotation are
changed by changing the order and frequency of drive pulses (A, A*, B, B*).
