Selecting Colors Through Your
Software Applications
This section provides examples of selecting colors through software
applications. For more information on how to add color to your
documents, refer to your application’s manual.
CorelDRAW
With CorelDRAW 3.0 or 4.0 and your BJC-70 Color Bubble Jet Printer, you
can create stunning and colorful drawings that you can print or export to
other Microsoft Windows applications. In CorelDRAW 3.0 or 4.0, make
sure you are in Preview mode by pressing
Shift + F9
.
Follow these steps to add color to objects in CorelDRAW:
1.
From the tool box, select the printer tool.
2.
With the pointer tool, select the object to which you want to add or
change colors.
3.
After selecting the object, click on the appropriate color in the color
palette on the bottom of the screen. The selected object automatically
changes to this color.
Microsoft Excel
With Microsoft Excel and the BJC-70 Color Bubble Jet Printer, you can
create powerful and professional spreadsheet and graph information. In
Microsoft Excel, you can add colors and patterns to text, the background of
text cells, and graphs.
Microsoft Excel 5.0
Follow these steps to add color to text in Microsoft Excel 5.0:
1.
Highlight the text cells to which you want to add color.
2.
From the top menu bar, select Format and then select Cells.
3.
In the Cells dialog box, select the Font folder tab.
4.
From the Font dialog box, select the Color drop-down list box.
5.
In the Color drop-down list box, select the color you want to use for
your text.
6.
Click OK in the Font dialog box to apply the color to your text.
