Replacing the BJ Cartridge
The following procedure describes how to replace either the BC-10 Black BJ
cartridge or the BC-11 Color BJ cartridge. Follow the instructions in this
section to replace an old BJ cartridge or to change cartridges when you
want to switch from high-speed black printing to color printing (or vice
versa).
You only need to replace a BJ cartridge if for some reason the print head
becomes damaged (see Appendix A, Specifications, for cartridge life
expectancy). If an ink tank is out of ink, see the next section for instructions
on how to replace it.
To replace a BJ cartridge, follow these steps:
1.
Make sure paper support is open and the power is on.
2.
Press and hold the
CARTRIDGE
button until the
ON LINE
light starts
blinking.

The cartridge holder moves to the center.
3.
Open the front cover.
