５） Compliance to RoHS directive (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in
Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
The RoHS directive restricts the use of six toxic substances: Lead, mercury, cadmium,
hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl, and polybrominated diphenyl ether. It
applies to products sold in the EU (effective from July 1, 2006). All of the EOS 40D's parts
conform to this directive.
