CONTROLS
If you have more than one D.E.S.S.
equipped Can-Am vehicle, each can
be programmed by your authorized
Can-Am dealer to accept the other ve-
hicle D.E.S.S. keys.
7) Multifunction Switch
The multifunction switch is located on
the LH side of the handlebar.
The controls located on this multifunc-
tion switch are:

1. Headlight switch
2. Engine stop switch
3. Engine start button
4. Override/DPS button (if applicable)
Low/High/OFF Headlight Switch
This switch is used to select either the
headlights low or high beams or to turn
lights OFF.

Engine Stop Switch

1. Engine stop switch
This switch can be used to stop the en-
gine and as an emergency control.
To stop engine, set the engine stop
switch to the STOP position.
NOTE: Engine can be stopped by set-
ting the engine stop switch to the
STOP position.

2. Engine stop switch
When engine start button is pressed
and held, it starts the engine.
NOTE: To allow engine starting, the
D.E.S.S. key must be securely installed
on the D.E.S.S. post and the engine
stop button set to RUN.

ing the engine, refer to
WAKING UP
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
