MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

1. Oil filter cover
2. Water pump cover
3. Coolant drain plug
4. Disconnect the lower radiator hose
and drain the remaining coolant into
a suitable container.
NOTE: Take note of the position of the
hose clamp on the lower radiator hose
at the radiator.

1. Lower radiator hose to disconnect
5. Drain cooling system completely.
6. Reinstall cooling system drain plug
and tighten to specification.
TIGHTENING TORQUE
Coolant drain

10 N•m ± 1 N•m
(89 lbf• in ± 9 lbf• in )
7. Reinstall radiator hose as noted prior
to removal.
TIGHTENING TORQUE
Radiator hose

3 N•m ± 0.5 N•m
(27 lbf• in ± 4 lbf• in )
8. Fill cooling system with coolant,
refer to

procedure.
Cooling System Bleeding
Models with a Heating System
1. Activate heater fan and put heating
level to maximum.

2. Remove the pressure cap.
3. Fill coolant system until it is full up to
the Max line on the coolant bottle.

4. Install pressure cap.
5. Run engine at idle with the pressure
cap ON until the cooling fan cycles
on for a second time.
6. Stop the engine and let it cool down.
