1. Shut off the main gas valve and power

2. Shut off the inlet water valve

3. Open all faucets

4. Take off the drain valve, and allow water to drain for 3 minutes or until the units

is empty.

5. Making sure all water is out, replace the drain valve, and shut off the faucets.

Below are instructions for draining water out of the water heater.

1. Close the gas shut off valve(s).

2. Close the water shut off valve.

3. Turn the on/off switch to the OFF position and disconnect breaker at least 10

seconds after step #1.

4. Open drain valve.
