Stopping the tool
•
The tool is stopped by pressing the ON-OFF switch (2).
CAUTION!
Do not put down or leave the tool unattended before the harvesting head (11) is stationary in order to avoid
danger or damage to property or persons.
Delivery and handling
The tool is packed and transported from the manufacturer to the customer using a cardboard box measuring
480x310x175 mm. The packaged unit weight does not exceed 5 kg, so it can be easily handled without any special
help.
CAUTION!
The handling of loads must be carried out in compliance with the current safety rules in the workplace. Keep
the box to store the tool for medium or long periods or to ship it packaged to an Assistance Centre for any
repairs.
5 TOOL USE
Intended use and product start-up
For proper use, it is mandatory to hold the tool firmly with both hands and switch it on via the ON/OFF switch (2).
Before storing the tool make sure that the harvesting head is stationary, turn the ON/OFF switch (2) to the OFF position
and disconnect the power cable connector (16).
CAUTION!
•
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. “Product description”. Any other use can cause injury
and is prohibited.
•
Only activate the tool when it is inserted between the branches. Improper use causes greater wear on the
tool and does not save battery consumption.
•
Never disconnect the power connector while the tool is in use.
Stopping the tool
The tool must be turned off at the end of the work session, therefore:
•
Press the ON-OFF button (2) to the OFF position.
•
Take care to set down the tool without placing the weight of the tool on the combs and/or bending or tensioning the
power cable (16) and its connector.
•
Do not crush the cable (16) by placing weights or the tool itself on it.
Improper uses
•
Never use the tool when your balance is unstable.
•
Do not use on slippery ground or steep slopes.
•
Do not use the tool in the rain or on wet branches
•
Never use the tool as a lever or for lifting, moving or breaking any objects.
•
Never use the tool in an explosive or flammable atmosphere.
•
Do not use the tool in all prohibition and requirement conditions indicated in this manual (see also paragraph 2.3).
Tool transport and handling
Before handling the tool, in case of short movements, make sure that:
a) The tool is switched off
b) The harvesting head is stationary
Once the above conditions have been met, proceed with handling by turning the harvesting head backwards with respect
to the direction of movement, ensuring that no persons, things or animals can come into contact with the tool.
