View BC Processor Detail
You may view detailed information describing each processor displayed on the BC Status Screen.
Access the Processor Detail Display from the Functions Menu, or use the <Alt> + V key sequence.
The Processor Detail Display is generated for all currently highlighted processors. The following
illustrates a sample screen:
This screen displays the details of the selected processor at the time the screen is invoked. This
displayed information is static. To update the screen, exit by selecting the OK or Cancel button, and
request to view the processor again.
The fields displayed include:
•
the Data Highway ID of the subsystem platform as determined by the IES hardware switch set-
ting
•
the Group Number identifying the group in which the processor is installed
•
the Description field, which may be modified from this screen. (Refer to description on
page
46
).
•
the Status of the processor
•
the current CPR condition
•
the Pending Offline condition
•
the Reset Counters: CPR Resets - the number of resets performed automatically; Manual resets -
the number of resets requested via SNMP or BCVision; Normal Resets - the number of resets per-
formed due to loss of carrier. You may clear the Reset Counters from the Functions Menu (
page
47
). The counters are also cleared automatically each time new IES software is transferred to
the IES.
Note: The Normal Resets counter is incremented when a processor transitions between DOS
and NetWare 3.x/4.x. During this transition the processor is not able to respond to the
IES, and therefore the IES detects a processor reset.
