The CSX7000 consists of the following internal components:
•
power supply and cooling system
•
backplane bay to support modules, including a strain relief cross bar
•
the EMS and/or IES circuitry
•
one or more system groups (each including a processor module)

The CSX7000 is built with heavy industrial material including a cooling system which can
accommodate a full chassis. The cooling system includes two fans specifically for the boards and
drives, and two fans for the power supplies.
The CSX7000 has two redundant power supplies providing fault tolerant processing. Both power
supplies should always be operational. The power supplies are set up to share the power load of
the platform (subsystem), yet each power supply is big enough to manage the entire power load, if
necessary. Each supply can be powered off and replaced without affecting the CSX7000’s functions.
