Activating the Detector
To activate the detector, press
C
in a normal clean
atmosphere.
Self-Test
Once the detector is activated, it performs the following
checks. Manually verify that all actions occur.
Battery Test
The detector administers a battery test during start-up. If the
battery has insufficient power to start up, the liquid crystal
display (LCD) displays the following screen before the
detector deactivates.
Recharge the battery for 2-3 hours before restarting the
detector (see
Charging the Detector
).
Audible/Visual Test
1.
The LCD shows all the display elements as it
beeps, flashes, vibrates, and briefly turns on the
backlight.
Detector Version
2.
The version number of the detector is then displays
on the LCD.
