Operation
This chapter shall make the system user familiar with the proper operation of the door system.
When operating the door system, the safety information and warnings in chapters 2 Safety and 3 Other
dangers must absolutely be followed!
7.1
Electrical connection
7.1.1 Requirement
According to the European standard for
“Safety for the use of power-operated doors - requirements”, the
connection to the mains must be done with an isolation device, which shuts off all poles and is secured
against being turned on again (lockable).
The installed main switch fulfils the function of an
“isolation device” and simultaneously serves as an
emergency control device (red button on a yellow background) as required by the national applicable
guideline ASR A1.7 (previously BGR 232) for power-operated windows and doors. In the case of control
units with a CEE plug, the plug fulfils the function of an
“isolation device”. The protection against the plug
being plugged in again must be provided on-site.
7.1.1.1
Variant with frequency converter

Fuse protection for the mains connection: Secure the single phase (1/N/PE 230 V) with a circuit
breaker (C type, value 16A). For three phase current (3/N/PE 400 V), with a three-phase circuit breaker
(C type, value 16A).

When using an FI circuit breaker, ensure that it is suitable for a frequency convertor (type B with rated
fault current of a min. 300mA).
7.1.1.2
Variant without frequency converter
1.
Ensure the three phase current (3/N/PE 400 V, 50 Hz) (positive field of rotation to the door control
system connection terminals or to the CEE outlet) with three phase current automation or motor circuit
breaker with a value of 10 A if nothing is otherwise specified.
7.1.2 Connection

Connect the mains supply line to the input terminals in the switch box (only for control units with direct
connection, see the circuit diagram).
Warning! Injuries and damage when working on the system!
Make sure that electricity has been disconnected from the control unit when working on the system. Risk
of injury and risk of damage!
Ensure that the main power switch is guarded against being turned back on without authorisation
with a hanging lock and that the CEE plug is guarded against being plugged in.
If multiple people are working on the system,
each one
must ensure that the main power switch
is secured against being turned on without authorisation.
