food or medical purposes except after particular
treatments and cannot be used to fill the
air bottles of scuba divers.
_ To avoid overheating of the electric motor, this
compressor is designed for intermittent
operation as indicated on the technical dataplate. In
the case of overheating, the thermal cutout of the
motor trips, automatically cutting off power when the
temperature is too high.
The motor restarts automatically when normal
temperature conditions are restored.
_ To facilitate restart of the compressor, in addition to
the operations indicated, it is important to return the
button of the pressure switch to the OFF position and
then to ON again.
_ All the compressors are fitted with a safety valve
that is tripped in the case of malfunctioning of the
pressure switch in order to assure machine safety.
_ When fitting a tool, the flow of air in output must be
switched off.
_ When using compressed air, you must know and
comply with the safety precautions to be
adopted for each type of application (inflation,
pneumatic tools, painting, washing with
water-based detergents onlt, etc.).
1. If the compressor is automatically turned off before
reaching its normal cut pressure:
a. Cut all the tools.
b. Wait until the compressor cools (about 10 minutes);
c. If the unit does not restart, press the reset button to
start the compressor;
d. Repeat the operation.
2. Possible causes automatic shutdown of the
compressor are:
a. The use of an extension that is too long or narrow.
b. An air leak or an open pipe
3. Correct problems before a new use to prevent
damage to the compressor.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Always check that the power
supply corresponds to the
voltage on the rating plate.
DESCRIPTION (fig. A)
Your compressor has been designed to
supply compressed air.
1 On/off switch
2 Air hose connection
3 Manometer operating pressure
4 Adjustment knob operating pressure
5 Manometer tank pressure
6 Safety valve
7 Bleeding point tank
FITTING THE DIPSTICK (fig. B)
Before using the machine, the dipstick must
be fitted.
_
Remove the transport plug (8) from the
filling-point.
_
Fit the dipstick (9) as shown.
Save the plug for any future transport of the
machine.
CONNECTING AND REMOVING THE AIR HOSE
(fig. C)
The machine has been provided with quick
couplings for the attachment of 1 air hose.
_
Press the connecting piece (10) of the air
hose into the connection (2).
_
Check whether the air hose is connected
properly.
To remove an air hose, proceed as follows:
_
Press the connecting piece (10) of the air
hose further into the connection (2).
_
Pull the collar (11) on the connection
backward.
_
Pull out the connecting piece from the
connection.
_
Release the collar.
Before connecting or
removing an air hose,
always pull the plug
from the wall socket.
AUTO POWER SYSTEM
(fig. D)
1. If the compressor is automatically turned off before
reaching its normal cut pressure:
a. Cut all the tools.
b. Wait until the compressor cools (about 10 minutes);
c. If the unit does not restart, press the reset button to
start the compressor;
d. Repeat the operation.
2. Possible causes automatic shutdown of the
compressor are:
a. The use of an extension that is too long or narrow.
b. An air leak or an open pipe
3. Correct problems before a new use to prevent
damage to the compressor.
SETTING THE OPERATING PRESSURE
(fig. A)
The set operating pressure can be read from
the manometer (3).
_
Turn the adjusting knob (4) to the right to
increase the operating pressure.
_
Turn the adjusting knob (4) to the left to
reduce the operating pressure.
Never exceed the
maximum operating
pressure of the
equipment connected.
