KTF/100HPS Operation
- 3-16 -
KTF/100HPS
Characteristics of the various working modes (Mode 00
÷
04)
Mode 00 - Standard INC/DEC commands selection
By selecting Mode 00, the KTF will work as explained in “INC/DEC
programmable commands” paragraph
(see the relevant example on page 3.19);
in particular, whenever the INC/DEC commands are simultaneously disabled, the
related tension graduations performed, will be immediately reset
(upon each
machine stop and each exit from thread guide).
Mode 01 - INC/DEC commands selection for medical socks
By selecting Mode 01, it will be possible to “freeze” the graduated tension value
(upon each machine stop and each pause for “heel” processing).
The graduation
performed will be cleared only when the INC/DEC commands will be
simultaneously deactivated/activated/deactivated within a time period of 1 second
(upon each exit from thread guide) (see example on page 3.20).
Mode 02 - Function selection without INC/DEC commands, with or without
KTF/PW4 power supply
By selecting Mode 02, the KTF/100HPS will be able to work without INC/DEC
commands and without using the KTF/PW4 power supply. In such condition the
KTF will use the parameters programmed within P1 menu
(
MAIN TENSION
–
ERROR
TENSION
–
TIME ALARM
).
The KTF/100HPS activates the
ERROR TENSION
alarm as soon as the programmed
tension goes out from limits set in
ERROR TENSION
. The alarm will automatically
be cleared as soon as the tension value will return within the programmed limits.
Mode 03 - Function selection without INC/DEC commands, with or without
KTF/PW4 power supply
By selecting Mode 03, the KTF/100HPS will be able to work without INC/DEC
commands, but using the KTF/PW4 power supply. In such condition the device
will use the tension value programmed in
EXIT TENSION
(P2) as well as in
ERROR
TENSION
and
TIME ALARM
(P1). The KTF/100HPS activates the
ERROR
TENSION
alarm as soon as the programmed tension goes out from limits set in
ERROR
TENSION
. The alarm will automatically be cleared as soon as the tension value will
return within the programmed limits.
Mode 04 - specific operating mode for machines that use the yarn in non-
continuous mode, i.e.:
During some working phases
(for instance the processing of tip and heel of socks)
the machine cylinder must rotate to both directions.
In this case, the KTF device must then be able to feed the yarn to one direction and
immediately after it must be able to recovery a given amount of yarn
(sometimes up
to 50 cm)
, reversing the motor rotation direction.
Mode 04 is active in P1 only and the yarn recovery tension is equivalent to that
shown in P1.1.
WORK TENSION
.
!
For m
odes 00,02,03 only: if you do not connect the exclusion command EXC
(see page 2.2 ), you can avoid the reset of graduations upon each machine
stop. However, (but limited to mode 00) in such case you lose the possibility to
lock (OFF) the machine by means of Control button.

Operation Characteristics” for Mode 04, page 3-23.
