Setting and Operating procedure of the Serviceman
Software Tool

1.2.1

Role of the Serviceman Software Tool

This tool serves to check the operation of each function, and writes the setting value

or the serial number into the machine. After repair, be sure to use this tool to

implement the required inspection items.
This tool is unable to check the operation of the Editor Lite. It is necessary to inspect it

separately.

Items Required for the Inspection

- Personal Computer (PC)

→

Supported OS is only Windows XP. No driver is necessary.

- AC adapter

→

Use the AC adapter which is attached to QL-700.

- USB cable

→

For connecting the machine to your PC. Use the USB cable which is attached to

QL-700.

- Media

→

Die-cut tape (62 x 100mm) (only release coated paper) and free length tape

(62mm).

Setting of the Serviceman Software Tool

The printing pattern file (*.prn) can be changed.
[Refer to

“1.5.2 Changing of the Print Pattern”

NOTE:

It is not necessary to change the printing file (*.prn) path when checking the

operations with the default settings.
