Lower Tray Unit
Loading Paper from the Lower Media Cassette
The lower tray unit is a device that functions as a second paper source. It
can hold a maximum of 250 sheets of paper (160 g/m
2
or 43 lbs). To
purchase the optional lower tray unit, please consult the dealer where
you purchased the printer.
With the lower tray unit installed, load paper into the lower paper cassette
in the same way as you do the upper media cassette.
How to Install the Lower Tray Unit

This printer is heavy and weighs approximately 37kg (81.6 lbs).
When moving or lifting this printer, be sure to do so with at least
2 people to avoid injury.

Be sure to lift the printer using the handholds located at the
bottom four corners of the printer.

Caution
When moving or lifting this printer, be sure to keep the printer flat. Also,
you must first remove the Toner Cartridges, Waste Toner Pack, Oil Bottle
and Fusing Unit to avoid spills.
1. Place the Lower Tray Unit on a flat table.
2. Remove both side covers from the Lower Tray Unit.
