(27) Remove gear 36/54 by releasing its latch, then remove the separation roller gear (outer) and

idle gear 56.

(28) Remove gear 31 by releasing its latch.

(29) Remove the bushing from each of the document feed roller shafts 1 and 2.

Assembling Note:

Set the ADF-related gears into place as shown below.
