NOTE
Only the external ports are available for trunking. The Enterprise model includes the trunking licenses.
Supported licenses
The switch module supports the following licenses which are activated with the purchase of the
corresponding license key. Applicable options depend on whether the switch module operates in
Fabric OS Native mode or Access Gateway mode.

Inter-Switch Link (ISL) Trunking

simplifying ISL management. For
example, multiple 16-Gbps Brocade
switches can automatically group up
to eight ISLs into a single logical
“trunk,” with a total throughput of up
to 128 Gbps.

Extended Fabrics (EXF)
Extends the reach of storage
environments across longer
distances by supporting up to 500
Km between the hosts and storage
devices, depending on the
connectivity bandwidth. 4, 8, and 16
Gbps links are available.
