Alternator caution is triggered by either an actual failure of the alternator
but also by failure of the respective alternator control power supply.
Therefore, the alternator caution also turns on when the alternator is not
switched on.
Overvoltage protection units are installed in either alternator line.
The supply to the back-up battery is monitored by the back-up battery
itself. It triggers a caution is the supply voltage drops below 11Volt.
