Installing the LU 2 automatic lubrication unit (optional)

Installing the HQ 2/U-H adapter set

You can optionally install

the LU 2 automatic

lubrication unit,

3 842 543 482.

Required accessories

• HQ 2/U-H adapter set,

3 842 548 578

Install the hose

connection (C) on the

lubrication pin (A).

Insert the lubrication pin

(A) in the bore of the

HQ 2/U-H.

Secure the lubrication

pin (A) with the lock

washer (B).

Install the lubrication

line.

Please note:

• The lubrication line must

always be placed lower

than the lubricating

pin, otherwise the

lubrication line runs empty

(uncontrolled oil spillage,

bubbles are formed in the

hoses)

• Uneven lubricant

distribution occurs when

there is uneven ﬂ ow

resistance. The difference

in length of the lubrication

lines should be < 20 mm.

• Fill the lubrication line

before start-up, e.g. by

repeatedly pressing the

lubricating device (button

in the PLC control) until

lubrication comes out of

the lubrication pin.
