Function and Operation Keys (F... + OP...)
The assignment of the function and operation keys is determined by the
respective application software / the used operating system. To be able to
call up as many functions as possible with one key, the function level was
extended by the operation keys.
Use of an External Keypad
Concerning the BTV 16.1BD and BTV 16.1AD as well as the BTV 40.1BH
and BTV 40.1AH with keypad the key functions can also be activated with
an external PC keyboard by pressing the following key combinations:

M-Keys
Eight M-Keys (machine functions keys)) are allocated at the right and the
left side of the display (see Fig. 6-2).
Addressing of the M-Keys
There’s no keyboard controller to manage the M-Keys, but they are
directly routed as switching contacts to a 20-pin connector strip. In
addition, the signals can be retrieved via the ISA bus under address
0x142 (16 bits access).
6.4 Touch
Screen
Settings can be modified via the setup program (see chapter "Screen
Software" on page 9-3).
The icons available on the touch screen depend on the used application
software.
