5.2.2 Functional description
A hydraulic motor converts hydrostatic energy into mechanical energy. Hydraulic fluid
is fed to the cylinder bores through the working ports (5) and the control plate (4).
The pistons (2) in the cylinder bores complete a stroke that is converted into rotary
movement by the pistons on the drive shaft flange (6). During this process, the
pistons move the cylinder (3) and generate output torque on the drive shaft. This
output torque increases with the pressure difference between the high-pressure and
low-pressure sides. The output speed is proportional to the inward flow and
inversely proportional to the displacement of the hydraulic motor.
5.3 Product identification
