4 .10 Attaching the clamp

The clamping method used depends on the type of
rim and the means of attachment. Special plastic-
coated clamping jaws are to be used for high-grade
rims
!
Use of the universal quick-action clamp is a
prerequisite for moving run-out compensation.

Detach the wheel caps if necessary.

Drive onto the platform or over the pit before
attaching the universal quick-action clamp to the
wheel.

The universal quick-action clamp fits all steel and
aluminum rim sizes between 10" and 21" and is
suitable for all motor vehicle rims without an adapter
hole.

By turning a threaded spindle, the universal quick-
action clamp can quickly be centered from inside to
outside and from outside to inside in the center axis
of the rim and clamped to the rim.
1.
The clamping jaws are positioned against the inside/
outside of the rim flange.
2.
Pressed outwards or inwards against the rim by way
of the spindle.
3.
The mount for the plate must be vertically centered.

Check the firmness of the clamping jaws again
following attachment to the tire.
