The battery can at any time be charged outside
or installed in the bicycle without reducing its life
span. Interrupting the charging process does not
damage the battery.
The battery is equipped with a temperature moni -
tor that permits charging only within a temperature
range of 0 °C to 40 °C. Three of the charging sta -
tus indicator LEDs will flash when the battery is
outside the charging temperature range A1 .
In this case, separate the battery from the charger
and wait until it has reached operating tempera -
ture. Only reconnect the charger when it has
reached the permitted operating temperature.
1. The charging time increases when the
battery temperature is very low.
2. Prevent extreme overheating due to
external effects or overloading.
3. Only use the battery with your FLYER.
4. Never use a damaged battery. If you
discover cracks, deformation of the
housing or leaks, stop using the bat -
tery and have your FLYER checked by
a specialist retailer.
5. The lighting function will still continue
for approx. one hour after the battery
is empty.
5.4 Inserting and removing the bat-
tery
Switch off the battery whenever you in -
sert it into its holder or remove it from its
holder.
Insert the standard battery A6 by placing it with its
contacts pointing downwards into the lower holder
A9 of the e-bike (the battery may have an incline of
up to 7° towards the frame). Tilt it as far as it will go
in the top holder A5 and you hear it engage. Only
then is the battery fixed in position in the top holder.
Check whether the battery is firmly attached.
Always remove the key A3 from the lock A4 after
locking. This prevents the key from falling out and
also prevents unauthorised removal of the battery
by third parties while the e-bike is parked.
To
remove the standard battery A6
, switch it off
and open the lock with the key A3 . Tilt the battery
out of the top holder A5 and pull it out of the bot -
tom holder A9.
To insert the power tube battery A7 , place it on the
e-bike with its contacts on the lower holder A9 . Tilt
it into the upper holder A5 until it reaches the limit
stop and audibly clicks in. The battery is only fixed
in the upper holder once this is done. Check that
the battery is firmly in place.
Always remove the key A3 from the lock A4 after
closing. This prevents the key from falling out or
the battery being removed by a third party when
the e-bike is parked. Attach the cover panel A8 .
To remove the power tube battery A7 , switch it off.
First remove the cover panel

. Open the lock
with the key A3 . Tilt the battery out of the upper
holder A5 and pull it out of the lower holder A9 .
