6.5.17 Lighting
Example 1
If the front light is positioned too high, oncoming traffic will be
blinded
. This can cause a serious accident
with fatalities.
Example 2
Positioning the front light correctly can ensure that oncoming traffic is not
blinded
and no-one is put at risk.
Example 3
If the front light is positioned too low, the space ahead is not illuminated to an optimum extent and the
rider's vision is reduced in the dark.

6.5.17.1 Adjusting the lights
1 Position the
ebike
so that its front is facing a
wall.
2 Mark the height of the front light (1) on the wall
with chalk.
3 Mark half the height of the front light (2) on the
wall with chalk.
