Problem
Possible Cause
Possible Solution
Aircraft will not respond to throttle
but other controls function
• Throttle and throttle trim not
lowered at aircraft initializing
• Your transmitter throttle
channel might be set to the wrong
direction.
• Lower throttle stick and throttle
trim to lowest settings
• On Spektrum and JR transmitters,
set the throttle channel servo
reversing to normal direction.
-or-
On Futaba transmitters using
DSM2 modules, set the throttle
channel servo reversing to reverse
direction.
Aircraft rudder response is
inconsistent or requires extra trim
to neutralize rudder movement
• Aileron and/or elevator channel
not centered
• Aircraft moved during initialization
• Disconnect flight battery, center
rudder trim and re-initialize
aircraft
• Disconnect flight battery and
re-initialize aircraft while keeping
aircraft from moving
Aircraft LED flashes and
aircraft cannot be controlled by
transmitter
• User powered on transmitter
less than 5 seconds after
connecting flight battery
• Aircraft is bound to another
transmitter
• Transmitter too near aircraft at
initialization or binding
• Large metal object (furniture,
vehicles, etc.) too near aircraft at
initialization
• Disconnect then connect flight
battery
• Bind aircraft to a desired
compatible transmitter
• Move transmitter at least 2 feet
(50cm) from aircraft before
connecting flight battery
• Move away from large metal
objects and connect flight battery
Aircraft does not function and
smells burnt after connecting
flight battery
• Flight battery connected in with
wrong polarity
• Replace 5-in-1 board (BLH3101).
Connect flight battery so 5-in-1
power connector boss fits in
channel in flight battery plug
Aircraft appears to show
significant decrease in flight time
• Flight battery is not fully charged
• Inadequate power to flight battery
charger
• Flight battery (EFLB5001S)
damaged by over-discharge
• Fully charge flight battery
• Make sure AC power supply,
charger and adapter cord are
connected
• Replace flight battery. Refer to
Battery Warnings and Guidelines
