Selecting route options
You can adapt the route to your specific needs at any time, even during active
route guidance. The parameters which can be adjusted include:

ROUTE, choose between the quickest and the shortest route.

MOTORWAY, here you can determine whether or not route guidance will
use motorways/highways.
-
FERRIES, you can determine whether route guidance should allow or
avoid ferries.
-
TOLL, here you can decide whether or not you want to drive along toll
roads.
If you choose
AVOID MOTORWAY, but not using a motorway would lead to a
much longer route, the TravelPilot will include the motorway in the route. The
same applies to ferries and toll roads.
To select the route options,
Activate the menu item
ROUTE OPTIONS in the DSC menu.
You can also activate the route options menu with the
hotkey
.
The selection menu for the route options will appear.
Select the menu item you wish to alter and
Press
OK

When you want to quit the selection menu,
Press
ESC

(You will return to the DSC menu in navigation), or
Select the menu item
CONTINUE and
Press
OK

, and the main navigation menu will appear.
Note: If you alter the route options during active route guidance, the
route will be re-calculated. The route options selected will remain
active until you change them.
