4. Set the flow-control jumpers in
both
the Local Hub
and
the Remote Unit to
the “RTS/CTS across link” setting (jumpers vertically linking the upper pairs
of posts), as shown in Figure C-2. This will allow the Extender system to detect
the mouse properly.

5. Close up the Local Hub and Remote Unit and plug them in again.
Unless your serial device draws too much power (see the Note on the previous
page), your Extender system should now be ready for 1200-bps operation.
