Server Configuration Menu
There are a number of fields in the Server Configuration menu which are explained in
. At this point proceed as follows;
1. Give the Terminal Server an IP address and a name.
2. The important fields that you need to fill in are as follows:
Name
: In the example above the communications server name has been set to IOLAN. It
is a good idea for the Terminal Server name entered here to match the name entered in
the host machine’s domain name server.
IP Address
: This address must be set to a value that is consistent with the network the
Terminal Server is on.
3. Having filled in the fields press the
Enter
key. This brings the Commands pop-up menu as
shown in the next picture.

For more information about domain name servers, consult your
operating system manuals.
Note
The Ethernet address is factory set. This address is uniquely assigned
to the Terminal Server and MUST NOT be changed.
