Ringing signal detected (in answer
mode). (When the modem detects
a ring, it sends a RING result code

will answer the call only if it is set for
automatic answer or is given an A
command.)

NO CARRIER
Carrier lost or never detected.

ERROR
Error in command line, invalid
command, command line exceeds 40
characters, or invalid character format.

CONNECT 1200
Carrier detected at 1200 bps.

NO DIALTONE
No dial tone detected.

BUSY
Busy signal detected.

NO ANSWER
No period of silence detected. This
code will appear only if @ (“wait for
silence before dialing”) has been
included in the dial string.
