Protocol Manager Features
• The user can filter the list of protocols by choosing All Protocols or by choosing a Custom Group in the Protocol’s dropdown menu.
• A filtered list of protocols will appear below the Protocol’s dropdown menu based on the dropdown choice. The user can check the
Show Biocare Protocols box to only view additional Biocare Protocols. This is located to the bottom left of the window.
• Biocare Protocols cannot be edited, only Custom Protocols can be edited.
• Use the buttons to the bottom left of the window to add or delete a protocol. To create a New Protocol select the Add (+) button,
the following selection is available: Create New Protocol, Create from a Template, and Create from a Selected Protocol.
• To delete a protocol, highlight the protocol and click Delete Selected Protocol (X), located to the bottom left of the window.
Important Note: There are two delete (X) buttons, select the one under Show Biocare Protocols
• The information about the selected protocol will appear in the Protocols section on the right half of the window including the name
of the protocol, dispense volume and protocol steps.
• Use the buttons located on the bottom of screen to edit the protocol along with clicking on the particular step that requires changes.
The user can change the following items in a protocol:
o Modify existing protocol name.
o Modify existing reagent, blow, volume, time, wash type and wash count for any step in a protocol.
o Use buttons to add, insert, delete or move steps in the protocol.
Important Note: When creating or editing a protocol from a Template or a Selected Protocol, click out of current cell and to a different
cell to lock in the changes�
