Slide Trays
Run Requirements
Although most runs will have similar protocol conditions and can be processed in the same slide tray, there are certain conditions where
protocols cannot be processed in the same tray or the same run.
1.
DePar and non-DePar slides cannot be on the same slide tray.
2.
Non-DePar slides with antigen retrieval require a different slide tray.
3.
Varying DePar times requires a separate run.
4.
All slides in a slide tray require the same antigen retrieval temperature.
5.
All slides in a slide tray require the same antigen retrieval solution.
Inserting Slides into the Slide Tray
• Lay slide tray on a flat clean surface.
• Ensure that all slides have a slide label.
• Place the slide flat, directly below the slide clip making sure it’s centered.
• Gently push the slide inward so slide is under the slide clip.
• Slides should be inserted in a straight horizontal motion, do not insert slide at an angle, this may cause the slide to crack.
• Slides should be straight and evenly spaced between each other.
• If a slide is not straight, it may affect staining due to possible reagent wicking.

Removing Slides from the Slide Tray
• Gently pull the slide out of the slide tray in a straight horizontal motion.
• Do not pull slides out at an angle, this may cause the slide to crack.
Note: If removing the slide tray immediately after a run completes, residual Aqua Rinse may still be on the slide tray To eliminate
residual Aqua Rinse, lift the slide tray at 90 degree angle over the trough to allow Aqua Rinse to spill into the trough
