4.6 Connecting the device to the extractor hood
The connection is possible for the following hoods:
y
Extractor hoods with „Berbel Connect 2.0“ accessories.
y
Ceiling lift hoods with remote control.
The following steps must be carried out in parallel on the
hob and on the extractor hood.
☞ Perform the following steps for the control panel supplied
with your extractor hood.
Extractor hoods with control panel “V8”
☞
Press and hold both buttons at the
same time (> 3 sec.) to start the
connection process.
Both buttons flash for 2 minutes.
Extractor hoods with control panel “V7”
☞ Press and hold both buttons at the
same time (> 3 sec.) to start the
connection process.
Both buttons flash for 2 minutes.
Ceiling lift hoods
The additional buttons are located under
the cover on the underside of the hood.
☞
Press and hold the two additional
buttons at the same time (> 3 sec.),
to start the connection process.
Perform the following step on the hob if the buttons on the
extractor hood are flashing.
☞ Switch on the hob.
☞ Touch the symbol (> 5 sec.) to start
the connection process.
The dot above the symbol flashes for
2 minutes.
The devices are successfully connected when the symbols for
operating the extractor hood appear on the hob.
4.7 Operation of the extractor hood
To achieve an optimal efficiency in removing cooking fumes:
☞ Turn the extractor hood on 1-2 minutes before you start
cooking. This allows the flow of air to build up, and the
fumes are removed at an early stage.
☞ During the cooking process, switch to a power level that
is appropriate for the intensity of the cooking vapours.
☞ If the intensity of the cooking vapours does not subside,
switch to a higher power level.
☞ Switch to the power level setting when searing.
The “P” display flashes. After 6 minutes, the extractor
hood automatically switches back to power level 3.
To activate the power level setting permanently, the
corresponding button must be pushed again. In this
case the extractor hood does not switch back and the “P”
display lights up.
☞ Check the fresh air supply at regular intervals.
☞ Also use the extractor hood to reduce other unpleasant
smells. Such as from:
y
Onions and garlic
y
Oven, microwave and steamer
y
Fondue and raclette
☞ Turn on the run-on function when you have finished
cooking.
☞ Switch the extractor hood off after use. If the automatic
run-on function is activated, the run-on time (10 minutes)
starts in power level 1.
After 12 hours without operation, the extractor hood (incl.
lighting) automatically switches off.
Selecting additional functions is possible via the menu button.
☞ Press the menu button.

The extraction changes the menu level.
y
Only the symbols of the functions available
in the respective menu level are displayed.

The functions are described in the
respective sections.
If no input is made, the operating group
changes back to menu level 1 after 2 seconds.
Every marking on the slider stands for the
function indicated by the symbol above the
marking.

Press the slider at the position below
the symbol to select the corresponding
function.
