8.3 Repairing

In case it is conﬁrmed that the AVR is defec�ve, we recommend to contact Beltrame CSE to agree about repairing condi�ons.

We strongly recommend to avoid to return back any devices without previous agreement.

The user is responsible for the correct packaging of the regulator.

Unstable or Low Output Voltage under load opera�on

• Compared excita�on voltage with power supply voltage
• Check programmable digital input se�ng and connec�on
• Check parameters of voltage regulator

• Regulator error

• Set point error

• Control element fault

• Check/adjust stability se�ngs r.350 and r.351

• Unstable Increase/Decrease inputs
• Unstable External analog input

• Check wiring for loose contacts

Irregular instability, i.e. sporadic over - or under excita�on which is not caused by grid varia�on

• Check droop compensa�on se�ng
• Check external current transformer circuit
• Gen CB Closed Status not ac�ve

• Poor eﬀect of the Droop inﬂuence on the

voltage regulator or C.T. defec�ve

measurement

• Some limiters are ac�ve: machine within

inadmissible opera�ng range

• Check programmable digital input se�ng and connec�on

• Bring machine into normal opera�ng range by adjus�ng the set point.
• Check se�ng of limiters

Problems with External (remote) controls

• Measure control voltage
