TROUBLESHOOTING

1. Press the EMERGENCY STOP switch to turn off the machine.
2. Does machine turn off ? Dark display light etc. If not, look at 

Emergency stop switch

below.

3. The wheel should rotate completely freely and easily. If not look at 

Wheel stuck 

below .

4. Release EMERGENCY STOP switch. Turns the machine on, jump to 5. If not read

Emergency stop

5. Does the Display show strange characters, if not the Keyboard (KEX card) must be replaced.
6. If motor starts when machine is powered on, the problem is Mainboard (MEX card). 
7. If all buttons works jump to 8, if not the keyboard (KEX card) must be replaced.

work the Keyboard (KEX card) must be replaced.

Emergency stop switch:

The emergency stop switch has a brace that need to be adjusted, else the two 

problem may occur. If it’s correct, and power supply voltage is correct to machine, the problem might be 
any of the electronic boards.
• Machine can’t be turned on. It’s totally powerless with dark display and Catch LED lights. 
• Machine can’t be turned off. 

Wheel stuck:

When Ex is powered off the wheel should be loose. If not may depend on...

• Mechanical: If wheel/clutch has been removed some washer might have been lost. Make sure the 

washers both inside and outside of clutch rotor are mounted. Otherwise the rotor might have 
mechanical contact to the clutch rotor, or the membrane plate got to tight space so it cant release the 
wheel.

• Magnetic: The clutch may be permanently magnetized, dirty, rusted or corroded. Read about RP 

Chapter [E45] to remove

Clutch:

If wheel has no power when motor is running with

set to 20% or more, the problem should 

either be that Membrane plate is missing, or that Motor axle wedge is missing.

FAULT INDICATION

BATTERY LOW!

The battery voltage inside machine is too low. The alarm limit is below 10 volt. Note that if the machine is 
plugged into a 24 volt system, 10 volts are very low. But Ex does is not sensitive to 12/24 system. It works 
down to 10 volt wither way.

If 

BATTERY LOW 

indication appears in display, check cables, connectors, and boat battery. There is also 

possibly that the machine measures the voltage wrong.
