New Features in Kaleido-X Version 6.50

Kaleido-IP X100:
Support for the new Kaleido-IP X100 model, with two
HDMI outputs, and two gigabit Ethernet network adapters, in a compact1RU chassis. In
the context of the Kaleido-X software, the Kaleido-IP X100 and the 2-port Kaleido-IP
X300 are both configured and operated in the same way, and designated as
Kaleido-IP-
2.
Compared to the X300 models, the X100 has more modest decoding performances:
it supports concurrent decoding of up to 8 HD MPEG-2, up to 6 HD H.264, up to 24 SD
MPEG-2, or up to 12 SD H.264 video programs.

Clusters:
Global backup and restore of complete cluster systems, in a single
operation.

Logical sources:
In the sources table, you can configure which alarm levels
contribute to the global alarm associated with every logical source. It is also possible to
specify an alarm level’s contribution to the global alarm.

Alarm logging:
Alarms logged to an iControl application server now
include time code information from the corresponding video signal (ATC or VITC,
depending on the signal format).

Time code distributed via GSM:
Time code monitors now support
time code text from an external device (e.g. a time code generator) connected to an
iControl application server configured as an external alarm provider to the multi-
viewer.

KMV-3901/3911 system name:
When you replace a KMV-3901/3911 card
with another one, in a frame whose Densité CPU-ETH2 controller was configured to
automatically apply parameters from a previously saved restore point to the new card,
the multi-viewer’s system name is now included, in addition to the networking
parameters.
Note:
Cluster backups created with version 6.50 or later cannot be restored
by using an earlier version of XEdit. Miranda recommends you make a
backup of the individual databases for every cluster member,
before
upgrading from a pre-6.50 version to version 6.50 or later.
Note:
To save a restore point to the controller’s non-volatile memory,
proceed as follows.
1 On the Densité frame’s local control panel, press the CONTROLLER button.
2 Press the [–] button repeatedly until RESTORE POINTS appears on the
display, and then press the SELECT button.
3 Press the [–] button repeatedly until SAVE A CARD appears on the display,
and then press the SELECT button.
4 Press the [–] button repeatedly until CARD # N—where N matches the slot
number for the Kaleido-Modular card whose configuration you wish to
save—appears on the display, and then press the SELECT button.
