525 – VLI
Detect the presence of Video Line Index (VLI) data
in the SDI video signal
Enable:
check to enable this test
Extract:
extract the aspect ratio value and display it
in the text box below
Aspect Ratio:
The text box reports the detected
aspect ratio.
525 – VITC
Detect the presence of Vertical Interval Time Code
(VITC) on a selected line in the SDI data stream,
and choose whether to extract it.
Enable:
check to enable this test
Extract:
extract the VITC and display it in the
thumbnail.
Line:
select the line in the vertical interval from
which VITC will be extracted. The available range is:
[11,12,13,……,19, 20]
525 – AFD
Detect the presence of Active Format Descriptor
(AFD) data in the SDI video signal
Enable:
check to enable this test
Extract:
extract the AFD value and display it in the
text box below
AFD Value:
the extracted AFD value is displayed in
the box.
525 – MBD
Analyze the active picture to detect MPEG macro-
block artifacts in the SDI video signal
Enable:
check to enable this test
Duration:
Set the time for which the block artifact
index must be continuously above the threshold in
order for this condition to be flagged as an error.
Threshold:
set the level above which this condition
will be flagged.
Video Mode:
Digital should be used for video coming
out directly from an MPEG decoder in SDI. Analog
should be used when the signal has been decoded
from analog to SDI after an MPEG decoder.
