525 – Black
Detect whether selected portions of the video image
are continuously black for a period of time. Four
independent zones are set up and checked, each
accessed from a tab.
Note:
these four zones are common between the
Black
and
Freeze
parameters, so they can be set
up in either panel.
Enable:
check to enable this test
Full Screen:
click this button to set the selected zone
to full screen size.
Start & Stop / Line & Pixel:
define the size of the
zone by identifying it’s top left corner (Start line &
pixel) and bottom right corner (Stop line & pixel).
Note:
you can also set the zone size and position
by clicking the Black tab in the display area, and
using your mouse to drag the outline of the zone
Threshold:
set the level (in mV) below which the
signal will be considered to be black.
Duration, Occurrence and Interval:
Set up the error
detection window using the sliders.

continuously detected as invalid in order for this
condition to be flagged
