ANNEX 2 – Firmware upgrading
The IPG-3901 firmware can be updated using the Densité Upgrade Manager (DUM) in iControl Solo. Unfortunately,
we need an additional installation setup to proceed with the upgrade. The firmware package transfer is done using an
ftp connection from PC to the IPG-3901 through the media Network Switch.
For the upgrade, you need to connect a PC to the MEDIA Network Switch and use iControl Solo (Yellow zone). When
you are done with the upgrade, the PC connection to the switch is no longer required
Please consult the iControl User’s Guide for information about the iControl Densité Upgrade Manager.
If you using an appserver with iControl to control and monitor the IPG-3901 card, you will be required to install the
new iControl service package on the appserver, once again using the (DUM).
Make sure that the card has already the good firmware, and select the “Upgrade” option on (DUM), that will upgrade
the iControl service only.
