Appendix B Serial Port Results Upload
The
pH SAFE Reader
may be connected to a Printer or computer for
transferring data via the RS-232 Serial port. Output configuration is as follows:
•
9600 baud
•
8 data bits
•
No Parity
•
1 Stop Bit.
This output is designed to be compatible with small 40 character serial Printers
such as those available from Citizen (Model: iDP-3110 - Dot Matrix Printer).
The output is also compatible with some other Printers and computer serial
ports.
If connected to a Printer, the instrument uses the DTR line (DB9 pin 4) as a
handshaking signal.
If the connected device is a personal computer maintain the DTR or RTS line
(DB9 pin 7) in the active (logic high) state to receive data from the instrument.
